Celebrate Service is the theme for National Volunteer Week, and it’s an opportunity to spotlight the individuals and causes that motivate us to volunteer. Volunteerism allows people to discover their calling, to channel their passion into positive change. We make progress in tackling our most persistent problems and creating stronger communities and a more just society when everyone of us, in our own unique manner, answers the call to make a difference.

National Volunteer Week is a time to honour and thank volunteers who donate their time, talent, voice, and resources to help our communities meet their most pressing needs. Their stories encourage people to take action, to recognise their ability to make a difference, and to be a force for good in the world. National Volunteer Week began in 1974 as a way to recognise and appreciate all those who make a difference in our communities, as well as to motivate others to make a difference and improve the world.

Volunteers help Free and Charitable Clinics and Charitable Pharmacies provide vital health care services to the medically underprivileged in their communities.
